Duchess of Cambridge expected to receive the highest honour for female member of the royal family.

It seems the Queen is very pleased indeed with how Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge has slotted in to “the Firm” and how well she has consistently performed her Royal duties.

According to sources, it is very likely that she’ll be bestowed with one of the highest honours the Queen can give to a female member of the family –  the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.

The honor is a diamond-encrusted brooch that features an ivory plaque of the Queen wearing the Order of the Garter.

It is usually earned by female family members after they’ve been married into the royal family for  several years and have produced heirs. Kate and Wills have certainly achieved both, enjoying a controversy-free marriage and producing the two cutest royals – Prince George and little sister Charlotte.

For the moment Kate is the only senior member of the family that is  yet to receive an honour, but the 33-year-old won’t have to wait too long, as it’s expected she’ll receive the honour sooner rather than later. All eyes will be on Kate in October when she will attend a state dinner at Buckingham Palace for the visiting Chinese president.

The Cambridges have been spending lots of quality time with Her Majesty the Queen of late; They enjoyed the privilege of dining with the her on the eve she succeeded Queen Victoria as the longest-reigning monarch.

Now, Kate and William have taken Prince George and Princess Charlotte (for her very first visit) to her Majesty’s Highland home in Balmoral, much to the Queen’s delight, where they are holidaying together.
