Prince William breaks silence over Sussex crisis amid fears of tell-all interview
Prince William has reportedly broken his silence after Prince Harry announced his plans to step back from royal duties.

The Sunday Times reports the Duke of Cambridge revealed to a friend his sadness at his brother choosing to distance himself from the Royal Family.

“I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that anymore; we’re separate entities. I’m sad about that,” he said to the friend.

“All we can do, and all I can do, is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page.”

It comes amid fears the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will use their new-found freedom to give a tell-all interview on the Royal Family.

The couple is reportedly in talks to sit down with US TV host Gayle King, a friend of the Sussexes.

The journalist behind the ITV documentary filmed during Harry and Meghan’s tour of Africa, Tom Bradby, has hinted a tell-all interview could be very damaging to the royals.

“I have some idea of what might be aired in a full, no-holds-barred sit-down interview and I don’t think it would be pretty,” said Bradby, who is himself friends with Harry and Meghan.

He also revealed further details about the circumstances of the pair’s so-called “Megxit” in an article for The Sunday Times.

“It is pretty clear to me from conversations with both sides that this exit could suit everyone, at least in terms of narrow self-interest,” Bradby added.

“But there is no doubt Harry and Meghan feel they have been driven out.”

He said the fallout began at the time of their wedding in 2018.

“Really damaging things were said and done. The atmosphere soured hard and early, but few meaningful attempts were made by anyone to heal the wounds.”

Harry is set to sit down with his father Prince Charles, the Queen, and Prince William as part of an emergency meeting called by the monarch in order to come up with solutions to Harry and Meghan’s decision.

Meghan will join the summit by telephone from Canada.
