Invictus Games have begun in Toronto with Prince Harry’s message of inspiration.

“You are all winners” said the Prince in his opening address over the weekend.

About 550 athletes are expected to take part in the Games in Toronto over the next week, which Prince Harry founded in 2014 as a way to help wounded veterans with their recovery.

“In a world where so many have reasons to feel cynical and apathetic, I wanted to find a way for veterans to be a beacon of light, and show us all that we have a role to play. That we all win when we respect our friends, neighbours and communities. That’s why we created Invictus,” said Prince Harry.

Here the Prince poses with competitors from the Women’s 100m Dash, after presenting the gold medal to  Sarah Rudder of the United States, the silver medal to Sabrina Daulaus of France, and the bronze medal to Christy Wise of the United States.
