Prince Harry had a youthful day out visiting Fit and Fed, a programme run by Streetgames, in London. The Initiative provides young people with free access to healthy meals and fun activities over the school holidays, preventing hunger and isolation.
Prince Harry met several of the volunteers and coaches leading the programme, and helped serve a nutritious lunch to the programme’s young participants.
He then made the most of the good weather by taking part in an activator session. The session, organised by community charity Sport at the Heart, had Harry playing hockey and football with a group of children, as well as a game of Simon Says.
Fit and Fed distributed 84,682 meals to children around the UK in its first year.
