Prince Harry threw a benefit concert at Kensington Palace to raise money for his charity, Sentebale, accompanied by Coldplay.

Prince Harry added event producer to his resume earlier this week after throwing a benefit concert to raise money for his charity, Sentebale, which supports and provides stability for children in Lesotho.

The concert, held at Kensington Palace, saw British rockers Coldplay and a choir from Lesotho perform to a captivated audience, all in the name of a great cause.

Sentebale was set up by Prince Harry, following in the footsteps of his Mother, who worked tirelessly to campaign for HIV/AIDS research and treatment.

The Prince is determined to see the disease eradicated in his lifetime and will embark on a new series of engagements designed to highlight the importance of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

According to a Royal press release: “In the UK more people are living with HIV than ever before with thousands of new people being diagnosed with the virus every year. In places like Southern Africa, HIV is the biggest killer of adolescents and represents a very real threat to the success of an entire generation. His Royal Highness wants to expand his own knowledge of the challenges and opportunities in the fight against the virus around the world.

“This will see him tackling topics including testing, treatment, and prevention as well as anti-stigma efforts that were famously championed by his mother Diana, Princess of Wales. Prince Harry believes that greater public awareness of the innovations in both testing and treatment for HIV can help save lives and he wants to do his part.”

Prince Harry sought to begin his latest campaign with a bang – choosing Coldplay to inspire hundreds and raise awareness for cause.
