The Prince has jam-packed a number of events into his two-day Copenhagen visit.

In a royal meeting like no other, the UK’s Prince Harry met with Denmark’s Queen Margrethe at the Palace of Amalienborg in Copenhagen. The 77-year-old Queen, dressed in red, welcomed Prince Harry on his first official visit to the Scandinavian country, which was made at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The two royals are related through Prince Harry’s grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh.

After his audience with Queen Margrethe, the 33-year-old royal met with veterans and members of the Danish Invictus Games team, before visiting volunteers at Game Denmark, an organisation committed to achieving social change with culture, sports and other activities mobilised by youth.

The Prince last night hosted a reception at one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, Tivoli Gardens, winning the hearts of the Danes by speaking Danish in his opening speech.

A number of other items are on the royal’s itinerary. Prince Harry will explore rebuilt areas of Copenhagen, meet volunteers and users of a national mental health campaign, visit start-up business hub KPH Projects, stop in at the Orestad Gymnasium school and, alongside Prince Joachim, visit an organisation helping Danish armed forces veterans.
