According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge is convinced she is expecting a little baby girl because of her craving for all things sweet.
If the old wives tale is anything to go by, a pregnant woman craving chocolate and biscuits is a sure sign that she is carrying a little girl.
The 33-year-old mother to Prince George has even joked to her friends that if there is any truth in the saying she will surely give birth to her first daughter next month.
After suffering again with acute morning sickness in the initial stages of her second pregnancy, the Duchess has developed a bit of a sweet tooth for chocolate biscuits and sticky fruit loaves baked near her Norfolk home, Amner Hall.
Kate, along with her 32-year-old husband Prince William, have been spitted popping into their local bakery, aptly named Humble Pie, in the trendy Burnham Market to buy all manner of treats.
The sticky fruit loaf has always been a favourite of William’s, so much so that the Prince requested a a special version be made for their wedding.
‘Prince William has always had a sweet tooth, but Kate has really had sweet cravings during this pregnancy,’ a source told UK reporters.
‘She could barely keep anything down in the first months of her pregnancy but recently she just cannot get enough of naughty treats.’
But her love of sweet things doesn’t end outside the home, the young mother had also developed a fondness for baking, having recently been describes as a ‘domestic goddess’ who loves whipping up sweets with her young son.
The baking has gotten so out of control that William has joked with his closest friends that he is ‘pilling on the pounds’ because of all the baked goodies he comes home too.
