New smartwatch will turn your texts into braille
This incredible device is transforming the way visually impaired users utilise technology.

Engineers in South Korea have begun work on a device that will transform texts into braille.

The start-up company, called Dot, is seeking to fill a gap in the market that saw very few options for visually impaired smart phone users.

The device, similar to an apple watch, will use a series of magnets and pins that will have the ability to transform any messages received – into braille.

Whilst computers have had the ability to transmit words into braille for quite some time, this technology is expensive, with most programs starting at $3000.

Co-founder and CEO of Dot, Eric Ju Koon Kim, told Tech in Asia, that he was hoping to place the product on the market for less than $300.

The product will be available for purchase in the U.S this December.
