Meghan Wore Custom Carolina Herrera for Her Pregnancy Announcement

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex wore a custom-made Carolina Herrera gown for her surprise pregnancy announcement.

The former actress and her husband Prince Harry shared on Valentine’s Day that Meghan was expecting their second child, and released a romantic black-and-white snap to accompany the news.

In the picture, taken remotely via iPad by their friend and photographer Misan Harriman, Meghan is cradling her stomach while laid on Harry’s lap in their garden, wearing a stunning billowing white dress.

Multiple outlets confirmed that the dress was made for the Duchess while she was pregnant with the couple’s first child, 21-month-old Archie, by the brand’s creative director, Wes Gordon.

Harriman, who was the first male Black photographer to shoot a cover of British Vogue, took to Instagram to share his joy at being chosen by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to capture the heartwarming picture.

“Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow,” he wrote. “Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!”

Harry and Meghan also managed to sweetly pay tribute to the prince’s late mother, Princess Diana, with their baby announcement.

Back in 1984, the beloved royal icon revealed the news that she and then-husband Prince Charles were expecting their second child, Prince Harry, also on Valentine’s Day.
