Meghan Markle guest edits renowned fashion magazine featuring supergroup of leading women
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex is the latest guest editor of British 'Vogue'. Not appearing on the cover herself, instead, she has chosen to feature 15 women she believes reflect female empowerment and diversity.

Meghan Markle, wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, has chosen to feature women she considers “Forces for change” on the cover of the September issue of British Vogue that she guest-edited, Buckingham Palace said on Monday (NZ time).

Student climate change campaigner Greta Thunberg, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and actress-turned-campaigner Jane Fonda are among 15 leading female figures on the cover of the magazine, which also features a conversation between Meghan and the former US first lady Michelle Obama.

“We are proud to announce that Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex is the Guest Editor for the September issue of British Vogue. For the past seven months, The Duchess has curated the content with British Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful to create an issue that highlights the power of the collective. They have named the issue: “Forces for Change”.

“For the cover, The Duchess chose a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open mindedness. The sixteenth space on the cover, a mirror, was included so that when you hold the issue in your hands, you see yourself as part of this collective,” SussexRoyal said in an Instagram post.

The Duchess said that she hopes readers feel as inspired by the magazine as she does, having hand-picked a varied mix of powerful cover stars spanning politics, entertainment and beyond.
