Margot Robbie is one of Australia’s greatest exports. Here, the Hollywood sweetheart, who is set to star in Barbie a movie about Mattel’s iconic doll, shares her bizarre beauty secrets.

Caudalie facial mist

Margot Robbie told elle.com she loves the smell of the Caudalie Facial Mist, which is made of 100 per cent natural origin ingredients. According to the en.caudalie.com website, the spray is famously used as a make-up correction spray: “This multi-tasking mist sets make-up, tones and tightens pores and gives the skin an instant boost of radiance”.

Complexion Correction Pads

Margot Robbie spends a lot of time jet-setting around the world and told Elle.com.au she relies on Peter Thomas Roth Complexion Correction Pads to cleanse her skin at 30,000 feet. “I hate that feeling of not being able to wash my face … I use these pads and my face feels really good,” she said.

Nipple cream

Bepanthen is actually a nipple cream for mums who are breastfeeding. It’s also used a a nappy rash cream for babies. Robbie told Elle.com that because Bepanthen is just a cream for dry skin it really works. She also told the magazine that she believes most lip balms have additives in them which dry your lips out so you have to keep buying them.

A toothbrush

Margot Robbie, whose first big break was on the soap opera Neighbours, says she uses a toothbrush to brush foundation into her hairline so that it blends. The actress told Harpers Bazaar that she does this because she has blonde hair but tanned skin and if she doesn’t blend it, “it looks gross”.

Underground Aussie moisturiser

The dermatologist who created Bloc Cosmetics Citrus Moisturiser has a skincare line called Bloc Cosmetics. Margot Robbie told Elle.com.au she swears by the underground day-night moisturiser which we predict could become a cult item for those wishing to emulate the star’s glowing complexion.

Sheet masks

Treatment masks are the next big thing for hydrating skin. While they are not bona fide bizarre, they look a bit freaky when Margot Robbie wears them while having her hair done. Robbie told Elle.com.au that she is obsessed with the Skin111 Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask, which her make-up artist Patti Dubroff got her hooked on. She says she relies on the masks in the lead-up to sashaying down a red carpet as the serum they’re soaked in helps supplement her skincare regime.
