Kōkako launches special cookbook to support local cafés and restaurants
The cookbook features recipes from some of Aotearoa's best eateries.

With New Zealand’s lockdown impacting the hospitality heavily, organic coffee roastery Kōkako has released a special digital cookbook to lend a helping hand to local eateries.

Featuring 55 recipes from top cafes and restaurants, include Ada, Cotto and Cibo, 90 per cent off profits from the Hospo at Home e-book will be split between the contributors and leftover profits will go to Everybody Eats.

Split into Snacks, Drinks and Meals, with beautiful illustrations by Parkby Projects, Hospo at Home gives home cooks a chance to recreate their favourite cafe and restaurant meals from their own kitchen – a perfect lockdown activity, we think.

Standout dishes include as Cotto’s famous kumara ravioli, Ada’s basil buttermilk tomato salad, and Deadwood Deli’s signature chimmichuri sauce.

“This pandemic has been a nightmare for the hospitality industry…. cafés and restaurants get hit hard with every lockdown, and yet when they’re open, those legends still greet their customers with a smile, spreading joy with beautiful coffee, delicious food and great yarns.

“By purchasing this e-book, you can continue to enjoy some of your favourite treats from afar, but more importantly, you’re supporting your favourite places when they need you most.”

Visit kokako.co.nz to purchase the book and lend your support to the hospo industry.
