What are the young Prince's favourite films?

Last night the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the British Film Association Awards, turning heads as they walked the red carpet. At a post-BAFTA meet and greet, Kate told director Lee Unkrich (Coco) that Prince George loves films.

“They are just getting into films now, George is four-and-a-half,” she told Daily Mail. “Paddington is definitely up there, and so is Coco now.” The Duchess added that Prince William and Prince George bonded over films. “It’s great obviously because of William’s interest in film, it’s great to have that father-son thing”, she said.

Last year, Prince William revealed that his son also enjoyed Disney movies. “He quite likes The Lion King. We’ve watched that a few times”. He added that: “We’ve watched Octonauts several times. He has watched some Lego movies as well, so he’s watched a lot of things like that.”

As President of the BAFTAs, Prince William presented director Ridley Scott with the prestigious Fellowship award at last night’s ceremony. During his congratulatory speech, William told the audience at Royal Albert Hall that he was a personal fan of Scott’s films. “The recipient of this year’s Fellowship – the highest honour the Academy can bestow – is a true cinema great,” he said. “His films are amongst my own personal favourites. A director and producer whose work has engaged audiences for 40 years, and whose creativity continues to inspire the vital next generation of talent.”
