Kate Middleton Returns To The Public Eye For Mental Health
The Duchess of Cambridge has made her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy.

The Duchess of Cambridge has resumed her royal duties, attending her first public event since announcing her pregnancy last month.

Wearing cornflower blue dress by Temperley London, Kate joined husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry at a Buckingham Palace reception for Mental Health Week. The event celebrated mental health workers in the United Kingdom, and was attended by various celebrities including comedian Stephen Fry, model Adwoa Aboah and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

Fry commented on the bravery of Kate, who has suffered from an extreme form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravid arum. “I do understand she’s been having this problem more severely than many pregnant mothers and so we’re very grateful [she’s here],” he told The Daily Mail.

Kate is a strong advocate for mental health. Alongside Harry and William, she created the campaign Heads Together, which seeks to erase the stigma around mental health. Fry praised the initiative, calling it an “extraordinary achievement.”
