While the COVID-19 pandemic is still raging on, some countries are beginning to open up their borders and encourage visitors to boost the tourism economy.
Spain, Turkey and Croatia are among the latest countries to lift restrictions and welcome visitors through their borders.
As more and more countries begin changing their travel restrictions, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has launched a helpful tool to keep track.
The free, interactive map shows which countries are open to tourists and offers helpful details on border requirements, such as quarantine rules and testing measures.
The information is based on IATA’s Timatic database and is updated more than 200 times a day to provide the latest, accurate information for travellers and airlines.
“As the aviation industry prepares to safely restart, travelers will need to know which countries’ borders are open and what health restrictions exist,” says Anish Chand, IATA’s assistant director, Timatic.
“Travelers can rely on Timatic for comprehensive and accurate information on travel during the pandemic.”
