Introducing H&M’s Conscious Exclusive 2018 Collection

Introducing H&M’s Conscious Exclusive 2018 Collection
World-renowned model Christy Turlington Burns fronts H&M's stunning new sustainable range.

H&M highlights the need for sustainable, ethical fashion in their latest Conscious Exclusive collection. Fronted by world-renowned model Christy Turlington Burns, the campaign explores the possibilities of using recycled materials to create beautiful, unique garments.

Materials including ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated fibre from fishnets, organic linen, recycled polyester and TENCELTM form the basis of the collection, while accessories made from discarded candlesticks and recycled silver pay homage to Sweden’s Arts and Crafts movement. “The innovation behind sustainable materials never ceases to amaze”, says Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M. “The way the materials feature in our Conscious Exclusive collection shows how the latest technology can be incorporated with time-honoured techniques for spectacular results.”

And while the collection supports clean oceans and land, it doesn’t compromise on style. Inspired by the creative home of 19th and early 20th-century Swedish artists Karin and Carl Larsson, it features a range of classic and creative garments designed for the modern woman. Feminine, elegant dresses with lace detailing and subtle floral patterns are perfect for formal events, while the classic white shirt provides a crisp, fashionable everyday option. Pointed, textured shoes allow the wearer to make a statement wherever they go.

The Conscious Exclusive 2018 collection will launch exclusively at H&M Sylvia Park on 19 April 2018. View the styles in the gallery below.
