Calling all theatre-goers and musical-lovers, a brand new production of Wicked is arriving in Auckland next year.

The hit Broadway musical, the second-highest grossing in history, is set to arrive on New Zealand shores next September.
Put together by the North Shore Music Theatre, it features a 40-strong cast of local talent.

If you’re not familiar with the show, Wicked is a reimagining of the classic The Wizard of Oz tale pre-Dorothy, following the unlikely friendship between Shiz University witches Glinda and Elphaba.
The North Shore Music Theatre show is likely to be one of the few large-scale theatre productions staged in Auckland in 2021, a follow up from their hit 2014 production of Hairspray.
Audiences can expect a lavish production, with gorgeous costuming, bold sets and broadway ballads.
Wicked the Musical is on from 10 September to 2 October, 2021.
