Prince Harry and Meghan Markle travelled to Belfast for their first royal visit to Northern Ireland. The couple attended an event at the Eikon Centre first, marking the 2nd year of a youth-led peace-building initiative, Amazing The Space.
The pair spoke to young leaders and watched an arts performance before moving on to visit one of Belfast’s oldest buildings, The Crown Liquor Saloon. Meghan and Prince Harry learnt about the building’s history from the National Trust.
Next, it was a stop at Catalyst Inc HQ to meet some of Northern Ireland’s youngest entrepreneurs. The couple enjoyed seeing some of the entrepreneurs incredible inventions.
The soon-to-be-married couple finished off their Belfast trip with a visit to Titanic Belfast, which tells the story of the Titanic. Here, they walked through the interactive galleries detailing the ship’s conception in the early 1900s in Belfast, construction and launch.
