Primary school-aged caped crusader trumps stumped police with a superhero's ingenuity

Was it the Batman-costume that empowered 5-year-old Zavi Ahmed to kick into superhero mode, rescuing an infant in dire need or just the bravado of youth?

The Primary school aged boy had insisted on donning the costume that morning, in spite of extremely hot temperatures. Zavi said he always feels like a superhero, but little did he know he would be called upon to behave like one.

One-year-old Iris’ grandparents were left distraught after their car self-locked with the baby and keys inside, as they were packing away their groceries.

Grandparent’s John and Caroline Penny called Sussex police who were unable to break into the cream VW Beetle. Desperate to rescue baby Iris they smashed the rear window only to find they couldn’t open the doors or fit through.

Enter mini-Batman Zavi Ahmed who arrived at the scene just in time to save the day. He volunteered to crawl into the small space and retrieve the keys, rescuing baby Iris just in time.

The story which reads like a a scene straight out of a comic book is something Zavi and his helper Superman (aka his two-year-old brother will remember for years to come.
