See STARPATH, a spraying liquid developed by Pro-Teq Surfacing designed to store energy from ambient light during the day, and release it at night – allowing the surface to glow.
While aesthetically pleasing, it could also have a positive impact on the environment – reducing the carbon footprint of the council by lowering the need for running streetlights.
“This product adjusts to the natural light, so if it is pitch black outside the luminous natural earth enhances, and if the sky is lighter, it won’t release as much luminosity,” stated owner of Pro-Teq Solutions, Hamish Scott.
