Eateries the MiNDFOOD team can’t wait to visit after lockdown
The weeks confined to our homes have us all thinking about what food we’re dying to eat once we’re allowed back into restaurants or able to pick up our favourite takeaways.

One thing’s for sure – the MiNDFOOD team is craving Asian!

Here’s where we’re heading and what we can’t wait to consume as soon as coronavirus restrictions are lifted:

Muum Maam, Surry Hills

Lillian McHugh, Integration Director

What I’m craving: Pad Kaprao Gai, the perfectly fried spicy chicken with green beans, is my absolute favourite. Bring on the chilli!

Kathryn Chung, Staff Writer

What I’m craving: The Monk, with tofu, shitake mushroom, bok choy and spinach wrap is my fave.

Raw Bar, Bondi

What I’m craving: I am missing their Fried Eggplant with Sweet Miso Dressing.

Satya Chai Lounge, Auckland

Nicole Saunders, STYLE Editor and Beauty Editor

What I’m craving: I’m looking forward to Dahi Puri and Paneer 555 accompanied with a beer or two off of Chai Lounge’s extensive craft beer menu.

Chinta Kechil, Double Bay

Ashley Wallace, Staff Writer

What I’m craving: I can’t wait to travel to Sydney again, where I’ll be sure to visit Chinta Kechil and order the Cheeky Bird crispy chicken or the Spicy Spicy Calamari, prior to heading to one of the nearby pubs.

The neighbourhood local

Donna Duggan, Lifestyle Editor

What I’m craving: It’s not so much the meal I’m looking forward to at the end of self-isolation, but the freedom to meet with friends and family at a local restaurant, which we used to do a least once a week.

I’m also looking forward to the day when I can return to my local cafe to enjoy a coffee in the sun, treat the kids to fresh sushi on the way home from school and return to my daily drop-in at the supermarket for what I need to get us through 24-hours of nourishment, instead of two weeks of isolation.
