Prince Harry admits to killing Afghan insurgents
Prince Harry has admitted to killing Taliban insurgents during his stint as an Apache helicopter pilot in Afghanistan.

The 28-year old British Prince has come out to speak candidly about the challenges of life as part of the royal family, after completing a four-month tour of the war-ravished country.

Furthermore, the Prince, who was a commander of the army’s most sophisticated attack helicopter, disclosed that he had fired at and killed insurgents during support operations. He also rescued wounded Afghan and Nato recruits.

“If there’s people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we’ll take them out of the game, I suppose,” said Harry in one of several statements to the media.

“Take a life to save a life … the squadron’s been out here. Everyone’s fired a certain amount.”

It was one of a series of interviews conducted during his time at Camp Bastion in the Helmand province, and not the first time that the Prince, known in the army as Captain Wales, has hinted at his struggle to live a royal life.

Shortly before being deployed in Afghanistan, photos of the prince were published partying naked at a party in Las Vegas.

“I probably let myself down, I let my family down, I let other people down,” was the Prince’s response to the Vegas incident. “But at the end of the day I was in a private area and there should be a certain amount of privacy that one should expect. It was probably a classic example of me probably being too much army, and not enough prince. It’s a simple case of that.”

Harry also revealed his dislike of the media, and how much he relished his work in the army – so much so that his father had to incessantly remind him of who he was, and to act more like a royal.

“My father’s always trying to remind me about who I am and stuff like that. But it’s very easy to forget about who I am when I am in the army. Everyone’s wearing the same uniform and doing the same kind of thing. I get on well with the lads and I enjoy my job. It really is as simple as that.”
