Betty White to star in new Christmas movie, at age 98
It seems not even a global pandemic can stop Betty White from putting out a new movie.

At age 98, the Golden Girls actress will be starring in new Lifetime Christmas movie, due to come out later this year.

Known for their heartwarming holiday films, the Lifetime network revealed amongst its holiday movie lineup an untitled Christmas movie, starring White.

According to Entertainment Tonight, White will play a character that “helps whip would-be Santas into shape, spreading the true meaning of Christmas,” leaving people to think she may secretly be Mrs Claus.

This is not the only movie the 98-year-old actor has lined up. She’s recently voiced characters in Toy Story 4  and the Disney+ Forky Asks a Question.

However, the Lifetime movie marks her return to an on-screen role, having only guest-starred in a handful of TV shows of late.

Her last major movie role was 2009’s The Proposal, starred alongside Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.

Earlier this month, Lifetime also announced its third instalment in the Harry & Meghan movie franchise. According to ET, Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace, will follow the royal couple as new parents and their life outside the royal family.
