Best Dressed at the American Music Awards 2020

A scaled-back American Music Awards has taken place at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, with only small groups from the same families in the audience.

A number of safety precautions were implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19 amid rising numbers of infections in the country.

Despite the presence of many a face covering in the audience, the mask-less stars took the opportunity to don some show-stopping outfits.

We’ve rounded up some of the best looks from the event.

Cara Delevingne

We know Delevingne loves a good pantsuit, and she took the look to another level with this glittery number by Dolce & Gabbana.

Katy Perry

Perry managed to make double denim look chic for her performance, wearing an oversized jacket by Acne Studios.

Justin Bieber

Bieber wore some baggy jeans that tend to be typical of the American male, but seeing as gingham is making a comeback, we like that the fabric featured in his ensemble.

Dua Lipa

Part mermaid, part showgirl – this Versace dress was fun! It’s kind of hard for Lipa to look anything other than flawless anyway.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly

We appreciate a coordinated couple. Megan Fox looked stunning in Green Azzi & Osta, while Machine Gun Kelly rocked in Balmain.

Jennifer Lopez

Another Balmain winner, Jennifer Lopez showed off her abs in a sparkling silver two-piece with the brand’s signature strong shoulders.

Dua Lipa Named as New Ambassador for Puma

Dua Lipa has been unveiled as the latest celebrity brand ambassador for Puma.

The ‘New Rules’ hitmaker joins the likes of Adriana Lima, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne in teaming up with the brand, and will appear in a series of international campaigns and initiatives for the sportswear giant, all aimed at inspiring and empowering women across the world.

Dua will also be lending a creative hand in the new partnership as she revealed she’s looking forward to collaborating with Puma on clothing collections, and said she’s been wearing the brand since her childhood.

“My very first memory of Puma was when I was around six or seven years old and my dad bought us a pair of matching burgundy suede sneakers, they were my favourite shoes!” she told British Vogue.

“From performance rehearsals to hiking in the hills, it’s important to feel comfortable and look good. I’ve got so many ideas for the projects and campaigns I’ll be taking part in, and look forward to bringing them all to life with the Puma team.”

“I am clearly very excited to announce that I’ve joined the @PUMA family as their new brand ambassador!!! Can’t wait for u to see what we have in store for ya,” the ‘Physical’ singer wrote.

Next year, she will front Puma’s ‘She Moves Us’ female-focused project, which will focus on connecting sport and culture, and the sports brand is also sponsoring Dua’s upcoming Studio 2054 virtual live-streamed performance on 27 November, which will feature an appearance by FKA Twigs.
