Bear Grylls launches 100 free indoor activities for kids
Stuck inside with bored kids? Try these fun, educational and free activities from Bear Grylls and Scouts UK.

Known for his daring outdoor adventures, Bear Grylls has collaborated with Scouts UK to launch a range of indoor adventure activities for kids during lockdown.

The Great Indoors campaign gives parents an answer for the dreaded ‘I’m bored’ from kids, helping them develop new skills and have fun while inside.

“The people who really thrive in life are those who, when the storms come, they don’t panic, they keep focused, they keep moving forward and they adapt to their new world,” said Grylls. “At Scouts, we’re always outside, we’re always in community, always travelling around having adventure but for now we’ve got to adapt and we’ve come up with a whole lot of indoor adventures.”

“We know the coming days and weeks are going to be difficult for families across the UK, as the spread of Covid-19 causes schools to close,” says Scouts UK. “As the experts in developing skills and bringing adventure to young people, we want to do what we can to help.”

With 100 missions and tasks, Scouts UK are encouraging parents to make the most of the free activities on offer. They include making a ‘tornado’ in a cup, DIY picture frames, and how to make a popsicle stick catapult.
