Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia are slashing flight prices across Australia.

Following an announcement in March of a massive domestic tourism stimulus, the Australian Federal Government has released thousands of half-priced flights across the country, starting 1 April.

Domestic travellers can nab the cheap fares from Qantas and Jetstar to 15 destinations across Australia. Meanwhile, Virgin Australia has released 260,000 half-priced fares to 25 destinations.

The cheap tickets will be available for travelling between mid-April until late September 2021.

The Federal Government has invested $1.2 billion in the aviation stimulus package, aiming to boost tourism in regions impacted by the border closures.

Destinations include the Sunshine Coast, Alice Springs, Whitsunday Coast, Kangaroo Island, Cairns and the Gold Coast.

You’ll have to get in quick as flights are sure to be snapped up quickly.

If you do miss out, Qantas and Jetstar are releasing an additional set of half-price tickets for destinations not covered under the government stimulus.

From 1 April night, the ‘Everywhere Else’ sale will see more cheap fares to over 50 Aussie destinations.
