Auckland Art Gallery: Toi Tū Toi Ora: Contemporary Māori Art
The largest exhibition in the history of the gallery, Toi Tū Toi Ora features more than 300 works from 111 artists. The show features iconic works from by some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most significant artists – Ralph Hotere, Lonnie Hutchinson, Robyn Kahukiwa, Lisa Reihana and more.

Te Papa: Chiharu Shiota’s The Web of Time
Stretching across two levels in the museum’s Toi Art section, the fully-immersive artwork is made up of 3,750 balls of black wool, with 1,000 numbers woven in the thread, made to look as if they are suspended in space.

The Cloud: Auckland Art Fair
Auckland Art Fair returns in 2021 for its first-ever summer edition. With 40 galleries showcasing the incredible work of 150 established and up-and-coming artists, the event is a must-visit for art lovers. Visitors can also hear artist talks, explore an outdoor sculpture space and peruse the wares at the art bookshop.

Nationwide: Van Gogh Alive
Returning to New Zealand in 2021, Van Gogh Alive sees thousands of the painter’s works projected onto stacked shipping containers in a large-scale indoor exhibition.
See the famed artist’s masterpieces come to life as you wander through towering projected artworks, with waves of sights and sounds washing over you.

Kaipara Harbour: Gibb’s Farm
Get in quick for the special summer open days at the breathtaking Gibbs Farm sculpture park on the Kaipara Coast.
Stretching across almost 400 hectares of rolling hills, the impressive open-air art park features the largest collection of giant outdoor sculptures from renowned New Zealand businessman Alan Gibbs.
Gibbs Farm is open for a few charity and fundraising days in 2021.
