If working for the royal family is your dream, then this opportunity is not to be missed. The Windsors are hiring a Conservation Intern in the decorate arts and ceramics category to work 37.5 hours a week from January-September 2018.
“As part of our team at Marlborough House Workshops, you’ll gain practical experience in a wide range of conservation activities for our collection of ceramics and decorative art,” the listing reads. “You’ll learn various traditional techniques, covering assembling, filling, retouching and preparation. You’ll also assist with drafting reports and determine your own treatment options for ceramics and decorative surfaces.”
Applicants will work with art from the royal families’ collection, which is kept within a former royal residence. The chosen intern must be “eager to immerse yourself in the unique learning opportunities that the collection presents,” as well as show an interest in conservation and the Royal Collections specifically.
The successful applicant will earn a yearly salary of £19,012.50, which equates to approximately AU$35,000. Applications must be submitted by October 29.
