1. Easter at the Zoo
The Royals will be attending an Easter Sunday service at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney ahead of a scheduled visit to Taronga Zoo to mark the fact that, when George was born, the Australian government made a donation to Taronga’s bilby preservation program in his name. She’ll have to steer clear of any horses though – the Duchess is severely allergic to them.
2. Echoing Charles and Diana’s movements
Prince George will be nine months old in April, which was the same age as Prince William when he first came to Australia with his parents, Prince Charles and Diana, in March 1983.
3. Anzac Day in Canberra
The Duke and Duchess will be touching down in Canberra for a commemorative Anzac Day service to mark 100 years since the start of World War I.
4. Mixing Pleasure with Business
The family are expected to spend Easter Monday alone to enjoy some down time in between official engagements, before heading to Uluru on Tuesday.
5. Tour Spendings
The Australian leg of the Royal tour is estimated to cost roughly $2 million, with $300,000 alone to be spent on flights. It is entirely funded by the income of Prince Charles through the Duchy of Cornwall, along with Kate’s official wardrobe. The Duchy is an estate inherited by the eldest son of the reigning monarch, valued at roughly $1.2 billion in total.

Wednesday 16 Sydney: Arrive in Sydney, before heading to official reception at the Sydney Opera House.
Thursday 17 : Visit bushfire affected areas of Blue Mountains.
Friday 18 Sydney: Visit the Royal Easter Show before visiting Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice in Manly and attending Surf Lifesaving demonstrations
Saturday 19: Brief touchdown in Brisbane to visit RAAF Amberley base and a reception at the Brisbane Convention Centre
Sunday 20 Sydney: Attend official Easter Sunday service at St Andrew’s Cathedral before visiting Taronga Zoo visit and the bilby enclosure.
Monday 21 Sydney: Enjoy some downtime in Sydney
Tuesday 22: Visit Uluru and attend National Indigenous Training Academy visit, before having Afternoon tea with NT chief minister.
Wednesday 23: Touch down in Adelaide to visit Northern Sound System studios; reception to be held at Playford civic centre
Thursday 24: Visit the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Attend Prime Minister’s reception at Parliament House and partake in National Arboretum tree-planting. Evening reception atGovernor-General’s House.
Friday 25: Remain in Canberra for ANZAC Day commemorative service. Depart Australia.
