She Suffers from Endometriosis

Early in 2019, Chung revealed via Instagram that she suffers from endometriosis. Chung wrote: “I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member, but here I am. #endometriosisclub #partytime#woohoo #lifelongmembership#sorryifyouhaveittooitsucks#endometriosisawareness” Endometriosis is thought to affect around one in 10 women of childbearing age.

Fans and friends rallied around Chung posting their support. “Same,” replied actress and singer Lou Doillon. One fan commented on the post that Chung is “by far our most stylish member.”

Her Signature Cut is Thanks to One Man

Alexa’s famous haircut, which has been called Don’t Care Good Hair, is down to one hairstylist that she has remained very loyal to. “I only see George [Northwood],” Chung told Vogue in an interview.

“I might need to go to couple’s therapy with that,” she jested. “I did try and see other people, we were in an open relationship for a while because we were doing long distance, but it didn’t really work out for me cut-wise. I don’t mind seeing other people style-wise, but cut-wise I’ve had too many a dodgy thing done to it to trust again,” Chung added.

She’s Co-Hosted a Netflix Show with Tan France

Alexa has teamed up with Tan France, the resident fashion guru on Netflix’s Queer Eye. Together they host Next in Fashion, which includes 10 episodes and features 18 aspiring fashion designers competing in a series of fashion challenges and activities.

And while it might just sound like a Project Runway rehash, the 18 designers on the show had already worked with major brands and celebs.

There’s Not Much She Can’t do Where Fashion is Concerned

She’s a fixture on the front row when fashion week rolls around and she’s even won awards for her style over the years – at the British Fashion Awards in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Chung scooped up the British Style Award as voted by the public.

Chung has also collaborated with a handful of fashion brands including AG Jeans and Barbour; and she even has a Mulberry handbag that’s named after her.

In 2017 the fashionista launched her eponymous fashion line, Alexachung.

She Was Once a Magician’s Assistant

Back in 2012, as part of Stella McCartney’s London Fashion Week show, Alexa volunteered to be levitated, hypnotised and even sawed in half by Dutch illusionist Hans Klok. Apparently she was a stand-in for Kate Moss who was supposed to have the role of magician’s assistant for the show.
