5 foods that will boost your libido naturally
Here are 5 healthy foods to give your libido a boost.

Raspberries

Pop a few handfuls of these delicious antioxidant-rich gems in your mouth to get in the mood, says Dr Anna Maria and Brian Clement, authors of 7 Keys To Lifelong Sexual Vitality. “This phytochemical-rich food enhances both libido and sexual endurance,” she adds.

Ginseng

University of Hawaii researchers found that women who took a ginseng supplement had an increased libido in under a month, with 68 per cent reporting an overall improvement to their sex life. Skip the preservative and sugar loaded energy drinks that claim to contain it and opt for it in its natural form, or in tea.

Broccoli

Rich in vitamin C, which aids blood circulation to organs and has long been linked with a higher female libido, broccoli is in fact, every bit the superfood you thought it was. Enjoy raw with dips like hummus, or lightly steamed or stir-fried. “I suggest it here because of the high vitamin C content,” says Keri Glassman, registered dietitian and author of The New You (and Improved) Diet.

Clove

Researchers at the University of Guelph found that saffron improves sexual performance. While it’s the most expensive spice on the market, it sure beats paying for unnatural, overpriced so-called miracle drugs. Soak the threads in hot liquid for 15 minutes before adding to rice, soup or other porous grains like quinoa.

Figs

Not only are they a great accompaniment to that other social lubricant, wine, figs are also an excellent stimulant of fertility because they “enhance the secretion of pheromones,” according to Dr Clement. By this rule, no cheese platter should go without.
