3 homemade herbal teas to help with stomach ache
Maybe you had a stressful day or ate something that was off - either way, that can leave your stomach feeling uncomfortable or heavy.

Treat these aches with homemade herbal tea, advises the August edition of Naturarzt, a German magazine about healing. Bear in mind these tips when you’re deciding what to use and how much of it.

Lemon balm: Lemon balm’s essential oil can help stop cramps or spasms and reduce flatulence. Make a cup of tea by pouring boiling water over two to four teaspoons of dried lemon balm leaves, and let steep for five to 10 minutes. Drink three to four cups throughout the day.

Aniseed-fennel-caraway: Too much gas in the stomach and intestines can leave you feeling bloated, press against the diaphragm and give you heartburn. Mixing equal parts of aniseed, fennel and caraway can help. Pound the seeds just before you use them in order not to lose any of the essential oils, take one or two teaspoons of the mix and add boiling water. Let it steep for five minutes. If you’re feeling unwell, drink one or two cups in sips.

Chamomile: The oil can treat inflammation and cramps, as well as help heal wounds. Pour boiling water over a tablespoon of chamomile blossom and leave for five minutes. Drinking three to four cups between meals should help remedy any complaints.
