Martha Stewart tells Gwyneth Paltrow to “be quiet”

The oven mitts are off!

Food and lifestyle matriarch Martha Stewart has lashed out at Gwyneth Paltrow, claiming the actress is nothing but a cheap imitation of herself.

Most famous for her on screen career, Paltrow has spent an increasing amount of time on her lifestyle pursuits in recent years, namely her kale-loving goop website and cookbooks. But Stewart clearly isn’t a fan of Gwynnie’s clean-living online hub, claiming the Iron Man star needs to “just be quiet.”

“She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart,” she went on. Ouch!

If you think this is the first time Stewart has attacked Paltrow, think again; Stewart told Bloomberg TV last year: “I haven’t eaten at Gwyneth’s house and I’ve never seen how she lives… She’s a charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle. She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter, fine, good. I think I started this whole category of lifestyle.”

When she was quizzed on who was the better lifestyle coach, Stewart curtly replied:

“You have to live to be a coach.”

Tough day in the kitchen perhaps. We’re betting she has her sights set on Blake Lively’s widely hated Preserve.us next.
