The University of Sydney’s Nicholson Museum is offering free activities during the school holidays. Children aged 5-12 are welcome to drop in anytime during these sessions, which run throughout the day. Bookings aren’t necessary.

Ancient Greek Myths
Learn about ancient Greek heroes, gods and goddess; take part in a performance of a Greek tragedy and handle genuine archaeological artefacts. Held in conjunction with the 2017 Sydney Greek Festival.

School Holiday Children’s Day: Fishy Fossils
Fossils tell us about plants and animals from the past, from dinosaurs to prehistoric fish and maritime life. Take part in arts and craft activities that look at dinosaurs, evolution, geological processes and the way paleontologists study fossils to explore our planet’s history.

School Holiday Children’s Day: Art Workshop
Learn about history of art starting with the very earliest examples of decoration and representation. Explore the ancient and contemporary art in the museum and create your own works.
