- Mediterranean Sea – Ibiza, Spain. Rinko Kikuchi was nominated for an Academy Award for her role as Chieko Wataya in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s film “Babel” (2006). She has been working with international directors such as Isabel Coixet ever since. In 2008, she starred in Rian Johnson’s “The Brothers Bloom” with Adrien Brody, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel Weisz.. - Atlantic Ocean – Pointe de Trevignon, Brittany, France. Samantha Davies is a young British sailor and sportswoman. In 2008 – 2009, she placed fourth in the one of the world’s toughest yacht races, the Vendée Globe, or “Everest of the sea.” Samantha is ambassador to “BLUE”, an organization dedicated to the protection of the planet and the promotion of adventure sports that showcase the natural environment.. - Bassin D’Arcahon – L’Ile aux Oiseaux, France. Undoubtedly one of today’s best-known designers, Philippe Starck creates unconventional objects whose purpose is to be “good” before being beautiful. A believer in the power of green long before ecology became fashionable, he recently came up with the concept of “democratic ecology”, creating affordable wind turbines for the home. - On board “Plastiki”– Los Angeles, United States. British environmentalist David de Rothschild is head of MYOO, an expedition group that raises awareness about climate change. In 2005, he became the youngest British person to traverse the continent of Antarctica. Many such adventures ensued. A key figure in Chinese cinema, actor Liu Ye has worked with prominent Chinese directors such as Stanley Kwan, Chen Kaige, Zhang Yimou, Lou Ye and John Woo and appeared alongside Meryl Streep in the Sundance award-winning “Dark Matter”. - Irish Sea – Greystones, Ireland. Mélanie Laurent has appeared in more than 20 films including Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds”. In 2006, she won the Most Promising Actress César for her role in “Je vais bien ne t’en fais pas”. - Mediterranean Sea – Kalamata, Greece. Guillaume Néry is a French constant weight free-diver who has broken the world record four times. He has advocated for the environment with organizations such as Antinea, a foundation campaigning for an improved network of Marine Protected Areas.
