Over four nights this week the Q Theatre in Auckland City was transformed into a floral oasis, which played the backdrop for Trelise Coopers “Theatre of Fashion” showcase, giving media, buyers and loyal customers a “view through the looking glass” of her Spring/Summer 2016 Collections from Cooper and Trelise Cooper.
“Down the Rabbit Hole into a Wonderland of florals, ribbons and bows” – Dame Trelise described it best herself. And indeed it was.
From intricate details that showered over the garments, to embellish three-dimensional detailing, this is what wonderland looks like on clothing. The collection had the audience transfixed and daydreaming of escaping the New Zealand winter and delving into a summer dream world where the sun kisses your bare shoulders, the sound of champagne popping is gently fizzing in the background and the music is playing from dusk till dawn while you dance the night away by the Italian Riviera. Its moments like these where the clothing speaks for itself, in true Trelise style.
