This is one birthday you don’t want to miss

Our favourite one-stop-shop for all things beauty – killer colour, luxe skincare and enchanting fragrance – MECCA, is turning 20 this October and to celebrate a handful of superstar beauty brands have created limited-edition releases to mark the occasion.

Some of the goodies you’ll be able to get your hands on very soon include a Too Faced eye palette with 12 matte and shimmery shadows; limited-edition NARS Audacious Lipsticks and Lip Glides to perfect your pout; and a By Terry eye palette which features MECCA-inspired peachy and pink hues.

Check out some of the must-haves we’ll be snapping up as soon as they go on sale; and take our word for it: beauty junkies, this is one birthday you don’t want to miss!

Off the runway: Dior SS18

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri opened her Spring/Summer 2018 collection for Dior with another slogan T-shirt with feminist undertones – Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists? – a statement borrowed from an essay by American art historian, Linda Nochlin).

In fact, it was a female artist, French-American sculptress Niki de Saint Phalle, who once again became a muse for the maison; De Saint Phalle modelled for Dior designer Marc Bohan in the 1960s. Chiuri instead turned to de Saint Phalle’s penchant for bold colour, with embroidery inspired by the artist adorning Chiuri’s creations.

Embellished, sparkly numbers, tulle, hints of fishnet and block-coloured leather bar jackets stole the show. And the must-have piece that everyone is going to want come next season: the sparkly, mosaic-adorned J’adior flap bags.
