A new book containing over 800 photographs and postcards that were all produced around 1900 shows Germany in all its glory before war took hold.

The beautiful glimpse into heritage listed sites, famous attractions and stunning architecture is recreated in colour using a special process.

The images are all rare examples of the historical photochrom process, a printing technique that allowed black-and-white photographs to be reproduced in colour,” writes the publisher Taschen. The book costs €150 and comes in English, French, and German.
