Off the Runway: Here comes the sun

Nothing says “Hello, summer” quite like the sunniest shade of yellow. A ray of sunshine stormed the runway at New York Fashion Week with a handful of designers sending models donned in the standout shade down the catwalk. Not feeling bold enough to dress head-to-toe in the out-there shade spotted at Phillip Lim? Opt for marigold and mustard yellows touted to be the colour of next season.

Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer ’17

As much as we cherish the arrival of spring and the warm-weather wardrobe it brings with it, we’ll admit parting with treasured velvet textures can be hard. So we were more than a little excited to see Victoria Beckham reinvent velvet on  the Spring/Summer ’17 runway at New York Fashion Week. The lilac, mint and orange crushed velvet pieces have gone straight to the top of our shopping list and we have declared velvet will no longer be relegated to the back of the wardrobe to hibernate over the warmer months.
