This style is a little different, using felt makes this bag extremely useful, light and durable. This style was inspired by the French Revolution and draws from the artists Robert Morris and Joseph Beuys. It’s quite minimalist in design, but the pom poms create that point of difference that is iconic for Deadly Ponies.
This is one of the first bags I designed and it is still a favourite that people continue to request. It’s a comfortable bag that doesn’t seem to date. I originally came up with this style when the brand was a lot more organic – it had a bone charm attached to the handle with Kip leather strapping. We’ve gone through a total of four updates for this style and it still inspires me, we even decided to bring back the bone charm this year for in an in-store exclusive.
This style was the first unisex bag I designed and it’s so practical. It’s still my go-to bag that I take everywhere with me. It’s inspired from a bowler style and has quite a utilitarian tool-bag feel. It’s made from Kip leather which is also durable and holds it shape, it really is the ultimate travel bag.
We’ve never done this style before, it’s incredibly unique yet also practical. The hand-hammered brass handle is a beautiful feature, as is the custom hand-dyed and sewn fringing. The inspiration for this piece came mostly from the handle, it’s part of our Grande Familia collection which is inspired by the elements of a traditional working class family.
Again, a new design but it references classic Deadly Ponies styling with the folded top, but this time was designed with men in mind. It’s a very practical, stylish bag, and the croc leather just gives it that added edge.
