Gucci wows us again with latest campaign

Gucci has done it again, bringing Alessandro Michele’s Cruise collection 2017 with another eccentric advertising campaign. This time Chatsworth, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, forms the backdrop of the campaign: a celebration of British culture – a constant source of inspiration for Michele. Acclaimed British actress Vanessa Redgrave stars in the zany campaign alongside models and a host of farmyard animals. The campaign also marks the start of Gucci’s three-year cultural partnership with Chatsworth to support cultural activities on the estate.

The Wet Test

Spring showers, summer rain – the weather may be wet, but that shouldn’t stop you for enjoying the great outdoors. Choose to splash your style all over the pavement – and the park, and the beach – with sneakers that not only hail from the comfort gods, but will also keep your toes dry while you walk across water. On misty mornings and drizzly evenings, don your Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas or Rubber sneakers and welcome the wet.

Both shoes are designed for comfort, versatility and to counter the climate: the Shield Canvas has a durable, water-repellent exterior to make droplets disperse, plus the enhanced comfort of the Shield Canvas Nike Lunarlon sockliner, non-slip padded tongue and micro-suede lining with materials that can also withstand most climate challenges.

Meanwhile, you’ll be singing, and dancing, in the rain thanks to the All Star II Rubber sneakers, featuring a translucent rubber coating and reflecting barrier, for warmth; a split collar heightens the depth and dimensions of the new look for added foot snugness. So when the heavens open, say a silent hallelujah, lace up, and jump right in.

The new Converse Counter Climate Shield Canvas and Translucent Rubber Collections are available now in store and online at
