Airport staff take boy’s lost tiger toy on amazing adventure

Airport staff take boy’s lost tiger toy on amazing adventure

A six-year-old boy left his beloved toy at Tampa airport and the staff took the tiger on a trip until he returned.

A child losing their favourite toy can be a really upsetting episode. However, when Owen Lake left his Hobbes teddy, named after the comic strip character, at Tampa Airport last week, not only did they get re-united but the tiger had been on a bit of a vacation himself!

On finding the toy, staff at Tampa International Airport decided to give him a tour and photograph his journey while he waited to be returned to Owen. In 5 days, Hobbes visited the control tower, information desk and airport gym as well as sampling some local ice cream and having a ride on a luggage cart.

All his escapades were captured by the airport staff and put in a photo album that was given to Owen when he was re-united with his stuffed animal.

‘Our hearts sank,’ Owen’s mother, Amanda said when they realised that Hobbes had been left behind. ‘He’s is one of a kind. Owen really loves him. We are so thankful to the airport for what they did.’

What a heart-warming story with some amazing photos to boot. Check them out here:
