The city of Sydney and the Danish architect who designed its famous
Opera House are finally

back in harmony more than three decades after he stormed out of
Australia in a row over soaring costs. The New South Wales state
government has approved a A$24.1 million (US$12.8 million) facelift to
improve the harbourside concert hall’s poor acoustics and make more
space in the orchestra pit, and architect Joern Utzon will be a key
adviser. This 1967 file photo shows Utzon displaying a diagram of a
detail of the Sydney Opera House. (DENMARK, SWEDEN, NORWAY OUT)
