Farmer Ray Adams carries a merino sheep, which escaped from its pen, during a sheep dog trial demonstration for the launch of Sydney’s Royal Easter Show outside the Sydney Opera House, March 12. The forecourt of the Opera House was transformed into a temporary farmyard complete with horses, cows, sheep and 2,000 sq. m. of turf. The 115-year-old Royal Easter Show, Australia’s largest agricultural display, will be held for the last time this year at its traditional venue in central Sydney before it moves further west to a site being prepared for the Sydney 2000-Olympics. – RTXHMO7
