Sweet & Sour Pepper Rub

Our Sweet and Sour Pepper Rub mixes pink, black and white peppercorns and is perfect as a marinade for your next barbecue.

 

Makes 1/4 cup

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp each dried black, pink and white peppercorns
  • ½ tsp sumac
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika powder
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp flaked salt

 

Method:

  1. Combine the pepper, sumac, paprika powders and sugar in a small spice grinder and grind until coarse.
  2. Add salt and mix to combine.
  3. Store in an airtight container.

 

Smart Tips

  • Use on any meat as a marinade – sprinkle over meat, rub with oil and set aside to marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Use mixed with flour and breadcrumbs for instant added flavour to your crumbing mix.
