Spicy Beef Ribs Recipe

Spicy Beef Ribs recipe, brought to you by MiNDFOOD. These spicy ribs are so easy to prepare the marinade does all the hard work for you! Just grill for 5 minutes on each side and serve with a fresh green salad.

 

Serves 4

1.2kg beef ribs

1/4 small watermelon

1/2 cup tomato sauce

1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

1 small red onion, finely chopped

1/4 cup barbecue sauce

1/4 cup chilli sauce

2 tbsp Worcesterchire sauce

2 tsp dry mustard powder

2 tbsp olive oil

 

1 Place beef ribs into a large shallow ceramic dish.

2 Remove the watermelon flesh from its skin, leaving 5 mm flesh on skin. Roughly chop the flesh and place into a food processor. Puree watermelon, then pour over ribs. Cover and refrigerate marinating ribs overnight.

3 Remove ribs from watermelon, then discard watermelon. Combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, onion, barbecue, sauce, chilli sauce, Wosterchire sauce and mustard in a dish. Add beef ribs, turning to coat with marinade mixture.Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours.

4 Heat a barbecue grill or chargrill pan on medium. When hot add ribs and cook for 5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Tip: Serve ribs with Watermelon Chutney.
