World Teachers’ Day

World Teachers’ Day
Teacher's rights must be acknowledged.

Held annually on October 5 since 1994, World Teacher’s Day commemorates the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. This recommendation is the core framework for addressing teacher’s responsibilities and rights around the world.

The special day also aims to acknowledge the important work that teachers do, generate support and foster a community among educators.
