Wes Anderson designed a cafe and it's the most Wes Anderson-y thing ever

Fans of Wes Anderson’s dreamy, whimsical films can rejoice (and start packing their bags for a trip to Italy, pronto), the cult director has designed a cafe in Milan and it’s the most Wes Anderson-y thing ever.

Situated in the new Prada art and culture complex, the cafe, called Bar Luce, wouldn’t look out of place in Anderson’s most recent pastel hued film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. And we can definitely see Wes Anderson muse, Bill Murray, lounging around in one of the kitschy pink chairs and having a campari and soda on the vintage formica tables.

There’s even a Steve Zissou pinball machine.

Anderson has collaborated with Prada before on commercials, and he also created the film, Castello Cavalcanti with another Anderson muse, Jason Schwartzman.

Anderson, who told Wired that he wanted the cafe to feel like an old-timey Milan bar, names two Italian films as references for the cafe, 1951’s Miracolo a Milano and 1960’s Rocco E I Suoi Fratelli.
