George Square, Glasgow

The bustling civic square in the heart of Glasgow is the iconic place where Frank proposed to Claire. The square is surrounded by some of Glasgow’s most architecturally significant buildings, such as the Municipal Chambers.

Glencoe, Scottish Highlands

The sweeping hills of Glencoe are showcased in Outlander’s opening credits. Visitors flock to the spot to take in some of Scotland’s most iconic highlands.

Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire

The rustic rocky landscape around Loch Rannoch and Kinloch Rannoch was the backdrop to Claire and Frank’s second honeymoon.

Doune Castle, Stirling

The great Doune Castle, turned into Castle Leoch on the show, was home to Colum Mackenzie and his clan in the 18th century. It returns in the 20th century when Claire and Frank take a day trip to the castle ruins.

Glencorse Old Kirk, Midlothian

Visit the picturesque location where Claire and Jamie tied the knot. The idyllic Glencorse Old Kirk features beautiful parks, lakes and gardens making it the perfect romantic spot. Visits are by appointment only, so make sure to book before visiting.
