Need a dose of happy crying and a reminder of the capacity of the human spirit for joy against tricky odds? This video of sick kids at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, America, lip synching to Taylor Swift’s girl power song, Shake it Off should do the trick.
The video, featuring children, their parents and the nurses, doctors and volunteers who work at the hospital, was made as part of Child Life Month.
The hospital wrote of the video its Facebook page,
“Our incredible team of Child Life Specialists, Child Activity Coordinators, Music and Art Therapists, teachers and dedicated volunteers have created something really special and fun to celebrate and spread awareness for #ChildLifeMonth! Watch and SHARE this video featuring our amazing patients as they channel Taylor Swift with their own rendition of “Shake it Off”!
